Yea...realized this was a zetec forum after replying (I arrived via search). So I've posted on a similar thread in technical chat, hopefully someone with a duratec can chime in.

sorry but I am some kind of disagree.

I just changed two motor mounts (dirver and pass side), the dogbone is my next plan.

My opinion about the passenger side motor mount: If it is very squishly or jelly whatever you called, or it feels very soft, it does not mean it's bad. I just bought a new new from dealer. it feels exactly the same with my old (bad) one. However, the aftermarket one (I first buy one - Anchor Mount) IS firm. That's some kind of weired. But anyway, I change mine. All the problem gone. I will write something and post it here. Hope to help other.

for the lower "dogbone" mount the easiest way is to pull the e-brake and but the car in gear. pop the hood and have a friend slowly give it throttle like you are taking off but dont let them run you over! if the engine rocks an inch or so or more in either direction then you have 1 or more problems. either the bushings in the mount are shot, the transmission mount bracket is broken or the mount itself is broken.
